A 9-day city tour/road trip covering Vancouver, Seattle + Bainbridge Island and Portland. Travelers included our family with 3 kids ages 6-12. Stayed in mostly AirBnB accommodations. Month of travel: July.
Day 1 – Travel Day
Fly to Vancouver / Check into AirBnB (3 nights)
Days 2/3/4 – Vancouver, B.C.
Bike the seawall at Stanley Park / Dinner and shopping on Granville Island
Tour Capilano Suspension Bridge Park / Visit Grouse Mountain and hike the Grouse Grind / Swim, eat dinner and watch sunset at English Bay Beach
Walk through Gastown Neighborhood / Bus to Seattle (4 hours) / Check into hotel (1 night)
Day 5 – Seattle + Bainbridge Island, WA
Go to top of Space Needle / Visit EMP Museum / Tour Chihuly Garden & Glass / Eat and peruse Pike Place Market / Add gum to the Gum Wall / Pick up rental car / Ferry to Bainbridge Island / Check into AirBnB (2 nights)
Day 6 – Olympic National Park, WA
Drive (1.5 hours) to Dungeness Spit – explore and beachcomb / Drive (1 hour) to Hurricane Ridge – hike and check out Visitor Center / Drive back to Bainbridge Island
Days 7/8 – Portland, OR
Drive to Portland via Tacoma (3.5 hours) / Hike to top of Multnomah Falls / Check into AirBnB (2 nights)
Drive to Cannon Beach (1.5 hours) / Explore beach area, shops and eat late lunch / Visit Powell’s City of Books
Day 9 – Travel Day
Breakfast downtown / Fly home
